Hair for Hope is an annual event which mPayment is involved in providing online channel for members of the public to donate for volunteers to shave their heads to show their support for children with cancer. The online transaction fees are sponsored by Singapore Totalisator Board. mPayment provides the online collection services for the event to make it convenient for the public to make their donations.

Through this symbolic gesture, it aims to:

1. Tell every child with cancer and their their families that they are not alone in the fight
2. Help raise funds for Children’s Cancer Foundation through monetary pledges, to aid the Foundation in improving the quality of lives of our children and their families.
3. Create awareness of childhood cancer in Singapore.

Why Shave Heads? Patients’ hair loss, from treatments of cancer such as chemotherapy, is a representation of his or her courageous fight against cancer. Through the symbolic gesture of shaving our heads, we hope to lend moral support to all children with cancer, and to let them know that there is nothing wrong with being bald.
